My name is Sasan Norouzi. I’m a trained architect by education and a furniture and lighting designer at heart. In my work, I weave architectural expertise into furniture and accessory design, shaping everyday objects that balance conceptual rigor with usability. I pursue a minimal aesthetic informed by purposeful craftsmanship, beginning each piece with a deep respect for materials—whether employing contemporary or traditional techniques such as hand-building, slip-casting, or exploring new fabrication methods.
This pursuit of functional art took shape in the creation of the Loma lamp—a design focused on honoring geometric integrity while offering refined lighting solutions. The lamp exemplifies my attention to detail, merging architectural precision with a welcoming, tactile presence.
Another milestone is the Zelda Incense Holder, a creative exploration of both design and craftsmanship. Made from brass and walnut, it merges sculptural artistry with daily ritual, transforming a simple incense practice into a moment of mindful reflection. For me, Zelda was a chance to fully express my artistic side, bridging traditional craft with a refined aesthetic that enriches moments of self-reflection.
Ultimately, my goal is to foster thoughtful interactions between people and the objects they use every day. By concentrating on designs that are both practical and artful, I aim to invite a closer connection to the spaces we inhabit—blending thoughtful motifs with the warmth of human-scale craftsmanship.
